What is Children’s Camp?
Children’s Camp is held Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. and offers students musical instruction in both choir and classroom settings. Lunch and break times allow for recreation and help to make Music Camp a fun learning experience for children ages 8-15. The Children’s Choir presents several songs at the concluding ChoralFest.

Children’s Musical Skills
Instructors: Regina Brubaker, Deana Swanson
New for this year is a musical skills class for children’s choir participants. The class will fill out the choir experience that we currently offer by providing more opportunity to build skills for reading and singing unfamiliar music. This will be accomplished through a variety of engaging musical activities. The class is designed particularly for those who have had prior music instruction. Two classes will be offered this year with students divided into levels according to age.
On Saturday, children should be at Bridgewater Church of the Brethren at 5:00 p.m. for practice and dress rehearsal. Regular camp attire is acceptable. Children should have supper prior to coming to practice.
On Sunday, the formal ChoralFest begins at 3:00 p.m. Children should be at Bridgewater Church of the Brethren by 2:00, dressed in their formal choir attire.
Children should bring games and books to occupy themselves quietly during and between programs. Following the afternoon program, a light supper will be served. After dismissal of the evening program, children are once again the responsibility of their parents.
