I have learned so much

Some of my highlights from the last couple of years at music camp . . .

I feel so privileged to have attended a Christian music school like this, and I have learned so much.

Even singing in chapel was thrilling. It was exciting to see how quickly we could pick up a new tune and begin harmonizing together. Being with such a large group of people that delight in singing and glorifying our Creator with the voices He gave us was so inspiring and had a way of uniting our hearts.

Music Ed. was a fun, eye opening class for me. It was fascinating to discover how young children can easily grasp musical concepts when they are presented in a simple, enjoyable manner. It made me wish I had more training when I was younger.

Tour was such a worthwhile experience; miles of getting acquainted on the road and mingling with the congregations after each program. It was very rewarding to hear how God used our singing to minister to others. Each time I came away feeling like I was the one receiving the blessing.

A place to ignite the fire within

Music camp has been to me a place of learning and of harmony, a place to ignite the fire within—working to praise our Lord and King—where like passion and goals unite, working to better the song of our life. If every young woman and every young man comes with the goal to learn all they can, they won’t be let down. The staff have a goal: to ignite the love of music in our heart and our soul!

Music Camp helped me develop a talent I had

Shenandoah Christian Music Camp has provided a wonderful experience for me as a camper. I have not had much experience in choral music and I was very excited to be at camp for my first time this year. Larry Nickel was at camp as a special guest and he led mass choir and also had a general assembly session in the afternoon. These were two of the highlights of my whole week of music camp.

The classes that I participated in were very helpful and loaded with plenty of information that, by the end of the week, helped me realize I only know how much I don’t know yet. Which is exciting! It has placed a desire in me to pursue that knowledge more, whether it means coming back next year, just talking to more of my friends that enjoy music, or just getting my hands on material that music camp has directed me towards.

Music Camp also helped me develop a talent I have. It provided motivation to pursue the development of my talent in a Godly manner and it has drawn me closer to God through the whole experience. The friendships I gained at music camp I treasure.

I enjoyed the week of music very much and encourage anyone with even a slight interest in music to come experience the fun. The staff people have God’s best interest in mind along with yours. You’ll never know what it’s like till you experience it yourself!
